Electric Door Striker - Suitable for a large variety of locks and access control systems
ES-SM450 surface-mount electric strikes offer straightforward installation processes that eliminate the need for extensive modifications like drilling or cutting.
Surface-mounted electric strike ES-SM450, is designed for easy installation and use with rim or surface-type dead latche, allowing easy and secure door/gate access.
Fail Safe & Fail Secure adjustable electric striker is designed for use with cylindrical lock-sets with a dead latch for door or gate release purpose. It can be triggered (opened) by 12V from an intercom system or lock control/Access Control power supply.
When combined with an access control keypad and power supply, the electric strike converts a standard cylindrical lock set into an electronic access control locking system with high security and user convenience without the need to use a key.
In Fail Secure Mode, the door is locked with the electric striker's power off and unlocked with the power on. In a power outage, the electric striker would remain locked.
Alternately, if used in Fail Safe Mode with the electric striker's power off, it is unlocked and locked with power ON.
